I want to share with you some simple things you can do to help you relax. Let me say first that if you are really tense the first thing you need to do is go back and read the page on forgiveness. There may be some things within your energy field that you have not released and need to let go of. If this is the case relaxation will be temporary at best. Also see the meditation page, a regular routine will help you say bye-bye to those tense feelings for good. |
Share your relaxation techniques with us. Simply send me an e-mail explaining what you do to relax. I will include your suggestion along with your name and e-mail address if you like. It's always nice to share. Remember nothing is too mundane to be included. If you simply have a cup of chamomile tea with honey let me know. |

| Burn an incense or candle along with your favorite music in the background. Enya's CD has been scientifically recommended for its soothing qualities. | Mindful
Breathing Exercise
This is much like the exercise given on the meditation page. This can be done anywhere. Close your eyes. With your eyeballs gentle cast down take a deep breath in. Think of your breath as nourishment, the life force that sustains you. As you inhale in your mind's eye imagine this life force going up into your head massaging your brain, causing your scalp to tingle. As you breath out you are releasing toxins from your system. As you inhale again see this life force traveling down your spine, your legs all the way down to your toes. Feel as your blood is being infused with this energy. As you exhale all the impurities are again released. Repeat 10 times. . |

| Melting
Away
I like to do this one at night right before I am about to fall asleep. Make sure you are in a comfortable position, turn out the lights and prepare like you are going to sleep. Laying flat in the bed tense all of your muscles up, then let go. Now, with your eyes closed tell each part of your body to melt away visualizing it as you go. Tell your scalp - melt away and see it melt into your pillow. Tell your forehead to melt away and feel the tension as it drains away and see it melt into your pillow. Your eyes, mouth, your neck, your chest. Direct your arm, fingers, stomach everything to melt away one by one until you feel so melted there is nothing movable. Now simply melt into a deep sleep. |
You know Calgon can take you away but how about just trying some Epsom Salt in a warm bath with soothing music playing in the background? |
